After a 15-year career in Marketing Communications, Bonnie’s avid interest in the loss of species, habitats, cultures, and heritage led her Ecological and Anthropological interests while seeking to observe the relationship between culture and nature. Her fieldwork has included onsite work at an archeological excavation of a Classic Maya site in Belize.
She has been engaged in ongoing research of Colony Collapse Disorder and the mysterious disappearance of the honeybees since 2007.and wrote her Master's thesis on the symbolic nature of CCD. Her upcoming dissertation focuses on Technologies of the Sacred, from Shamanism to Social Media - a depth psychological look at the role of nature, tribe, and technology in the way we relate to the archetype of "home".
She was an active board member for AHBI, the Association for Holotropic Breathwork International from 2007 to 2011 and has trained extensively in Holotropic Breathwork, the Enneagram--a psychospiritual personality typology system--and in the indigenous and spiritual technologies of African elder Malidoma Somé.
Bonnie's work appeared most recently in the 2010 anthology, Rebearths: Conversations with a World Ensouled, published by World Soul Books. She recently presented at the 2011 Assisi Conference of Arts, Archetypes, and Transcendence: "Transcendent Wonder: Peering behind the Veil" in Assisi, Italy, in July 2011, and at the "Aesthetic Nature of Change" International Conference hosted by the Institute for Cultural Change in Ojai, CA, along with "Conversations with a World Ensouled" at CIIS (California Institute for Integral Studies) in San Francisco and JFK University in Pleasant Hill, CA.
Bonnie hosts an online radio show/podcast, "Depth Insights" where she and her guests take a depth psychological look at news, events, and phenomena in today's world. She is also an avid Tweeter: you can follow her at www.twitter.com/bonniebright5
